Stephens County Hospital Welcomes Kim Randall as Our New OR Manager

Stephens County Hospital is pleased to introduce Kim Randall, MSN, BSN, RN, as our new Peri-Operative Surgical Services Manager. She brings decades of experience, deep clinical knowledge, and a genuine passion for patient care to her role.

A lifelong learner and dedicated nurse, Kim's career reflects both technical expertise and a strong commitment to serving others, whether at the bedside, in the operating room, or as a mentor and leader.

A Career Built in the Operating Room

Kim's nursing journey began in family practice and surgical nursing, but it was the operating room that truly captured her interest. She entered peri-operative surgical services in 2002 and has sinced worked in all areas of the OR, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the surgical process from start to finish.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia, and a Master's Degree in Nursing Education from Western Governors University. Kim is also certified in ACLS, BLS, and PALS, ensuring she remains prepared for the fast-paced, high-stakes environment of surgical care.

What draws Kim to peri-operative nursing is the precision and teamwork it requires. From pre-op preparation through recovery, she values being part of a process that directly impacts patient outcomes. She thrives in the collaborative nature of the OR, where professionals with different skills come together in an ever-evolving setting. That teamwork, she says, is both motivating and deeply rewarding.

Leadership, Purpose, and Life Beyond the Hospital

In addition to her clinical work, Kim spent 11 years teaching Practical Nursing at North Georgia Technical College, helping to shape the next generation of nurses. Her enthusiasm for education and leadership led her to accept the OR Manager position at Stephens County Hospital, where she now combines hands-on experience with mentorship and operational oversight.

At the heart of Kim's career is a love for serving patients and everyone she encounters. Nursing provides a strong sense of purpose and belonging. Every day, she looks forward to making a difference, no matter how big or small, in the lives of those she cares for.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys traveling with family and friends, spending time outdoors, and staying active through exercise. She also values daily devotions, which help ground her and bring balance to her busy life. Whether inside the operating room or beyond hospital walls, Kim brings compassion, dedication, and intention to everything she does.
