Internal Contract Opportunity - CT Technologist

 

We are currently accepting applications for internal contract assignments for CT Technologist positions with a minimum commitment of 12 weeks or longer with permanent placement possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Performs CT procedures on adult, geriatric and pediatric patients.
    • Checks two patient identifiers for proper identification prior to exam.
    • Reviews patient record for accuracy and compliance with treatment plan.
    • Reviews CT Questionnaire and Meds Reconciliation Sheet with patient.
    • Obtains completed consent forms for all contrast studies; reports all refusals to ordering physician.
    • Programs computer for type of exam being performed.
    • Obtains additional cuts as directed by Radiologist.
    • Recognizes abnormal reactions and responds per protocol.
    • Operates power injector for contrast media exams.
    • Obtains and completes I-stat procedures properly.
    • Obtains contrast needed for exams from Omnicell.
  • CT Records and Archives
    • Maintains daily log of patient procedures.
    • Archives images to PACS and verifies that all images are sent to PACS.

 

  • Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Must have the cognitive ability to perform in this role. Critical and executive level thinking is required
  • Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Have near normal hearing – able to hear alarms/telephone/normal speaking voice/webinars
  • Have near normal vision – clarity of vision (both near and far) either corrected on non-corrected, ability to distinguish colors.
  • Have good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination
  • Standing – continuously within the shift (67-100%)
  • Walking – continuously within the shift (67-100%)
  • Climbing – occasionally within the shift (1-33%)
  • Bending/stooping – frequently within the shift (34-66%)
  • Twist at the waist – occasionally with the shift (1-33%)
  •  Pushing/pulling 50+lbs without assistance – frequently within the shift (34-66%)
  •  Pushing/pulling 100+lbs with assistance – frequently within the shift (34-66%)
  •  Lift/carry – 20+lbs without assistance – occasionally within the shift (1-33%)
  •  Reaching above the shoulders – frequently within the shift (34-67%)
  •  Lift/carry – 50+lbs with assistance – occasionally within the shift (1-33%)
