Background

Dr. Fordyce brings skill, compassion, and a deep connection to Stephens County. Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Fordyce moved to Georgia in 2000 and has been part of the Northeast Georgia community for over two decades. His wife, Jennifer, has 30 years of operating room experience at Stephens County Hospital, further grounding their family in local healthcare service.

Dr. Fordyce knew from an early age that he wanted to become a physician. That dream grew even stronger during his college years, when a knee injury threatened to end his football career. Thanks to the care of an exceptional Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Fordyce returned to the football field and discovered a calling to help others reclaim their own mobility and lifestyle.

With over 32 years of experience, Dr. Fordyce brings that same dedication to each patient he treats. He is proud to deliver world-class orthopedic care close to home.

Dr. Fordyce is a father of five—Amanda, Jimmy, Morgan, Kaysen, and Justin—and a grandfather to Adrian, Julian, and Oakley Mae. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, and walking with his two dogs, Remi and Mr. Brown.
