Clinical Nurse Educator
CLINICAL EDUCATOR
Functions as member of the management and nursing team. Serves as a leader and role model. Responsible for nursing orientation for new employees and internal transfers. Provides educational programs and in-service to the employees, as well as consults, develops, plans, implements, and evaluates programs provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Master's degree required.
- 5+ years clinical nursing experience required.
- Knowledge of CPSI prefered.
- Must have knowledge surrounding nursing equipment (IV pumps, SCD pumps, CBI, etc.)
- Experience in Med/Surg, ED and/or Critical Care areas required.
Licensure/Certification:
- Current Georgia License as a Nurse.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs)
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations of time.
- Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
- Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. Non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age-specific customer service skills.

* Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
* Have near normal hearing – able to hear alarms/telephone/normal speaking voice/webinars
* Have near normal vision – clarity of vision (both near and far) either corrected on non-corrected, ability to distinguish colors
* Have good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination
* Standing – continuously within the shift (67-100%)
* Walking – continuously within the shift (67-100%)
* Climbing – occasionally within the shift (1-33%)
* Bending/stooping – occasionally within the shift (1-33%)
* Twist at the waist – occasionally with the shift (1-33%)
