Intensive Care Unit
Stephens County Hospital provides specialized care for more critical patients who need more one on one care. Our 6-bed Intensive Care Unit is located on the 3rd floor and is designed and equipped for the intensive treatment of critically ill patients with a variety of diagnoses. Our staffing provides patients with a lower nurse to patient ratio and 24 hours a day; 7 days a week advanced cardiac monitoring. The primary goal of the ICU staff is to deliver quality care to the critically ill patient under the direction of qualified Physicians. The unit is staffed with experienced Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Up-to-date technology, skilled care providers, and an interdisciplinary approach to promoting positive patient outcomes provide for total and complete patient care.
Because of the nature of care in the Intensive Care Unit, visitation is limited to two visitors. For your convenience, an Intensive Care Waiting area and restroom is located adjacent to the Intensive Care Unit.
