Recertification of the cardiac rehabilitation program
Stephens County Hospital is proud to announce the re-certification of its cardiac rehabilitation program by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehab (AACVPR).
Cardiac rehabilitation programs are designed to help people with heart disease in their recovery process. Most insurances will cover some or all of the cost of cardiac rehab following a heart attack, cardiac stent, coronary angioplasty, heart valve surgery, heart failure diagnosis or stable angina (chest pain) diagnosis.
AACVPR program certification is the only peer review accreditation process designed to review individual programs for adherence to standards and guidelines developed and published by AACVPR and other related professional societies. To earn this certification a program must complete the tedious application process that requires extensive documentation of the program's practices.
Documentation required includes evidence of staff competencies, evidence of appropriate plans of care, evidence of emergency preparedness and evidence of outcome measures along with a plan to improve outcome measures. Program certification recognizes our hospital’s commitment to improving the quality of life for our patients by enhancing standards of care.
