Power of Caring

 

At Stephens County Hospital, we believe in the Power of Caring—the simple, profound truth that when we care for one another, we build a stronger, healthier community. The Power of Caring Award honors an individual in our region whose kindness, empathy, and service make a lasting difference.

 

Who can be nominated?

Anyone in the communities we serve—neighbors, volunteers, teachers, caregivers, local leaders, or any person whose actions reflect genuine compassion. (The award is not limited to hospital staff.)

 

Eligibility & Criteria

Nominees should:

  • Demonstrate kindness and respect consistently
  • Give back through service or volunteering
  • Positively impact individuals, families, or communities
  • Inspire others to live with empathy, care, and kindness

How to Nominate

Recognition

The honoree will receive a commemorative plaque, on-stage recognition at the annual Gala, and a feature across Stephens County Hospital platforms—including a photo and story displayed at the hospital.

Selection Process

Nominations will be reviewed by a small committee representing Stephens County Hospital and community partners. The committee will evaluate nominations based on the criteria above, focusing on impact, consistency, and inspiration.

Can I nominate more than one person? Absolutely. Please submit a separate form for each nominee.

When do you accept nominations? You can submit nominations at any time throughout the year.

Do nominees need to live in Stephens County? They should live, work, or volunteer within the communities we serve.

What if I don’t have the nominee’s contact info? Please submit what you have; we’ll follow up if needed.

Will nominees be notified? Yes, finalists will be contacted ahead of the Gala.
