Certified Medical Assistant- Orthopedics

The Orthopedic Certified Medical Assistant assists with the rendering of care to patients, including, phlebotomy procedures, medication administration, IV administration, etc.  Will work as a front office staff, as needed, responsible for scheduling patients, collecting billing information, maintaining the medical record, and performing various clinical tasks. 

Scheduled days will be as follows:

2 days at the Hartwell Location,3 Days at the Toccoa Location

Position:

Performs patient scheduling, maintains medical records, oversees department housekeeping, and carries out clinical duties as needed.

Obtains and maintains appropriate certification

Collects payment and ensures the integrity of the revenue cycle.

Provide excellent customer services to all clients regardless of position or socioeconomic position.

Manage office inventory and ensure infection control standards are observed

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certified Medical Assistant required.

CPR Certified

Ability to work in a fast paced and multifunctional setting.

Knowledge of verifying insurance/coding preferred.
