Stephens County Hospital’s Emergency Department is fully- equipped to meet your needs, with an Emergency staff on-site 24/7. The Emergency Department is led by Dr. Edwin Leap with a team of Emergency Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, nurses and other healthcare professionals dedicated to providing friendly and professional emergency assessment and treatment.

EMS (Emergency Medical Services)

In an emergency, every minute counts in providing the best care. At Stephens County Hospital, this not only means quality medical care at the hospital, but also whenever emergencies occur throughout our communities. As the operator of the county’s Emergency Medical Service EMS), we respond to all area 911 calls for medical assistance. We have 30 EMS providers and 6 advanced life support medic units (ambulances). Stephens County EMS responded to over 4,400 calls in 2016.
