EchoTech / Vascular Tech Job Summary

Functions as a team member in the day-to-day operations of the lab. Performs and thoroughly understands 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography in the adult. Performs various vascular ultrasound procedures independently with good judgment to provide reliable diagnostic information for physician interpretation. Must have a good knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy and pathophysiology. Responsible and knowledgeable in procedure charging Will be responsible for maintaining PI/accreditation documentation in all ultrasound.
Responsible for all ultrasound procedures and related computer/paperwork. This position will care for patients in the adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.
Employee performs clinical duties in accordance with population specific guidelines and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined in policy and procedures
Requirements: Certificate in Medical Sonography - Vascular (RVT) and/or Cardiac
(RDCS or RCS) Specific (RVT, RDCS or RCS) required at hire.

1 year clinical echo or vascular experience preferred. Proficiency in the dual modality based on department criteria.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a good knowledge of cardiac and/or vascular anatomy and pathophysiology
  • Certificate in Medical Sonography - Vascular (RVT) and/or Cardiac (RDCS or RCS) Specific (RVT, RDCS or RCS) required upon hire
  • Proficiency in dual modality based on department criteria
  • Current CPR required

  • Performs various vascular ultrasound procedures independently with good judgment to provide reliable diagnostic information for physician interpretation
  • Responsible and knowledgeable in procedure charging
  • Will be responsible for maintaining PI documentation in all ultrasound/ lab accreditation.
  • Responsible for all Echo ultrasound procedures and related computer/paperwork
  • Responsible for coordination of the schedule and verifying orders.
  • This position will care for patients in the adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30 to $45 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
