Visitation Hours & Restrictions
Generally, immediate family members may visit any time between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Other visitors should plan to visit between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Because of the specialized care they provide, many of the specialty care units have more limited visiting hours that must be strictly enforced.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU):
Two family members may visit briefly as follows: 9:00-9:30 a.m., 12:00 noon – 12:30 p.m., 3:00-3:30 p.m., 6:00-6:30 p.m., 9:00-9:30 p.m.
Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown):
This area provides specialized care with cardiac monitoring for the medical or surgical patient. Visits should be brief and may be limited if deemed necessary by the physician or nurse.
Maternal Child Unit:
Upon admission, maternity patients will be given specific visitation guidelines. No children under the age of 13 are allowed to visit unless they are a sibling of the newborn.
Pediatric patients aged 12 and older may have visitors during regular visiting hours. We encourage only parents and grandparents to visit children under age 12. One parent should plan to spend the night with the child. Due to Infection Control guidelines, we discourage visiting by siblings or other children.
One person may remain in the treatment area with the patient unless the patient is critical, requiring emergency or life-saving treatment. There is a waiting area for other family and friends outside the treatment area.
