CONALLY RETIRES FROM HOSPITAL
After 25 years of Service

Joyce Conally, medical transcriptionist, was honored at a retirement reception in recognition for 25 years of service at Stephens County Hospital.

TOCCOA, GA - After typing medical reports and physician dictation for over 25 years, Joyce Conally has decided it is time to rest the computer – what started out as an electric typewriter. She began work at SCH in 1984 and was a dedicated employee who retired as a transcriptionist in the Medical Records Department. Joined by her husband, Morris and children, Adele and Van, plus her grandchildren, pastor, family, neighbors and friends, Joyce greeted co-workers, hospital staff and volunteers at a very well attended reception given in her honor on Friday, June 5, 2009. Making presentations at the reception were Hospital Administrator Ed Gambrell and Quality Improvement Director Tina Debord. “Joyce will be missed and we wish her a happy retirement,” said Gambrell. The Medical Records department treated Joyce to a potluck meal in the department earlier in the week. During the reception, Debord presented Joyce with retirement gifts from her coworkers.
